MusicFest Hits Steamboat

Six days, 40 bands, a world-class ski resort, a really big tent, and more than 50 shows.

Does it really get any better than the MusicFest? Now in its 27th year, the MusicFest draws thousands of ski-lovin', music-lovin' folks to the snow swept peaks of Colorado each January.

This year's MusicFest lineup includes performances by The Band of Heathens, Cory Morrow, Michael Martin Murphey, The Lost Gonzo Band and about 35 other bands! Check out photos from last year's event and visit the MusicFest website for details on this year's event.

This is the largest group ski trip of its kind in the nation, the MusicFest brings the finest Texas and Americana music to the world-class ski resort of Steamboat, Colorado for a week full of sport and song.  The Steamboat Mountain Village can't wait to play host to such an amazing time.

Funny New Year's Eve

Sure, sure... champagne toast and rowdiness at midnight. Been there, done that... right? Well how about doing something new and memorable this year? The New Year’s comedy show returns to The Bear River Bar & Grill features Jolly Demis - "The Complete Entertainer." Jolly is a comedian from Comedy Works in Denver and a man who's funny bone is the only bone in his body. This special New Year’s Eve comedy show will start at 9:30pm and doors open at 8:30pm for $45 per adult (adults only).

Additionally there will be multiple sets from Fijian Reggae artist Wise 100 Doors.  This “One-Man-Music-Machine” Wise Katubadrau (a.k.a. Wise 100 Doors) plays the acoustic guitar while singing and playing the drums with his feet! His personal style breathes new life into music, revitalizing timeless classics from Johnny Cash to Prince to Journey and beyond.

Ticket includes an appetizer platter complete with Pork Sliders with Braised Sweet Onion Slaw, Smoked Buffalo and Golden Raisin Empenadas, Green Chili Rangoons with Sesame Ginger BBQ Sauce, Citrus Seared Tuna served on a Bed of Pickled Carrots and Cabbage, and House-made Salt and Vinegar Chips with Blue Cheese and Tomato.

But word of caution for those last minute planners... this show will sell out so reservations are highly encouraged.  Call 970-871-5150
