'Two Wheel Tuesdays' Continue Through July

Twilight Bike Park & Extended Gondola Bike Hours Part of MVP Two-Wheel Tuesdays

Ride off into the sunset starting tomorrow when Twilight Bike Park and extended gondola bike hours return every Tuesday evening in July as part of the Mountain Village Partnership’s (MVP) Two-Wheel Tuesday program at the base area of the Steamboat Ski Area.

“A two-wheel revolution is sweeping the mountain village,” said Jim Schneider, vice president of skier services for the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation. “The Ski Area’s twilight program as part of the MVP’s Two-Wheel Tuesday event on July 3rd was very well received. Due to its popularity, twilight hours for the Steamboat Bike Park will be back for the next four Tuesday evenings in July.”

As one component of the MVP’s Two-Wheel Tuesday, the Steamboat Ski Resort will unleash the power of the setting sun when it offers special twilight gondola bike hours on July 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st.  Riders can enjoy the new Steamboat Bike Park and downhill trails with extended gondola bike access from 5:30pm-7:30pm. In addition, a special two-for-one offer on regular priced Bike Access tickets will be available and Bike Rentals will run $25 (including bike access) during Tuesday’s twilight hours.  Those that purchased a Bike Access ticket earlier that day or have Season Bike Access Pass will also have twilight access on Tuesday evenings in July.  Season Bike Access Passes, which include the Twilight Tuesdays in July, are still available for $199 as well as a special $159 rate for winter season pass holders.

Refresh, revive and relive your evening mountain adventure as you wipe away the downhill dirt at the Bear River Umbrella Bar with live music and $1 off beer specials. Simply show your Bike Access ticket or Season Bike Access Pass after your evening ride to enjoy Two-Wheel Tuesday exclusives. Families can also enjoy playing along the new multi-million-dollar Promenade as well as in the cool mountain creek, Burgess Creek.

Downhill riders will be able to devour the dirt on the newly opened Rustler Ridge (upper and lower), nearly 4.5 miles of downhill delight, as well as Tenderfoot, Buckin’ Bronc, E-Z Rider, Wrangler Gulch and Sitz. Cross-country trails for uphill riders will feature Zig Zag to Valley View and back to the base. Get the latest scoop on must have gear and bikes as well as key insights and mechanical tips from the Steamboat Bike Shop crew.

“The Steamboat Bike Park continues to receive rave reviews,” continued Schneider.  “Partnering with the MVP on the first Two-Wheel Tuesday was a great way to show off the Promenade, Burgess Creek and mountain businesses. We had fantastic feedback on that first evening and wanted to keep the energy flowing through July.”

The Steamboat Mountain Village Partnership is a business organization created to encourage visitation to the mountain village base area and serve as a resource to mountain village businesses and programs.   Currently, the Mountain Village Partnership enjoys membership from over 30 businesses representing retail, rental, lodging, and restaurants.
