Art, Wine & Books

Three distinct businesses in the Steamboat Mountain Village are collaborating on a culturally intriguing event held at RED Contemporary in the Sheraton Hotel.

     WHEN: Wednesday, March 7th

     TIME:  6pm-7:30pm

ART: RED presents current work by 3 represented artist; Susan Schiesser, Kim Keith & Gregory Block.

Gregory Block will present the piece he started during the first Art, Books & Wine that was based on the audiences response to the word RED.

Kim Keith will present Bodyscape photography of local women.

Susan Schiesser is working on a brand new figure study piece to unveil at the event

We are also planning to have a live model posing during the entire event with a RED artist creating sketches and selling them on the spot!

BOOKS: Off The Beaten Path Bookstore presents three newly released books;

"The Last Nude" by Ellis Avery - A stunning story of love, sexual obsession, treachery, and tragedy, about an artist and her most famous muse in Paris between the world wars.

"Till I End My Song" by Harold Bloom - A collection of poetry that Bloom has meticulously curated  comprised of the last poems written by one hundred influential poets.

"Sacre Bleu" by Chistopher Moore (release April 2012) - A delectable confection of intrigue, passion, and art history surrounded around the death of Vincent vanGogh —with cancan girls, baguettes, and fine French cognac thrown in for good measure.

WINE: Patrick from Ski Town Wine & Spirits tastes participants on 4 different wines that accompany the art and book selections.
